READING

Learner is a clear part of our Gospel Identity. We are called to be disciples...people who learn and follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, it's easy to conclude that we must be readers. The difficult question is: What do we read? Above all, the Word of God stands alone. Sola Scriptura..."scripture alone" guides our lives. So, what about all the books out there about the Bible and theology? There are many authors who have studied the scriptures and present the Gospel in a great way, while carefully adhering to scripture. There are also many who are false teachers of divisive and unbiblical doctrines. We are called to learn, but we must be very careful what we are learning.

Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Matthew 10:16 (ESV)
