GOSPEL COMMUNITY AT MYSTERY
WHAT IS A COMMUNITY GROUP?
Community Groups are meant to facilitate Christian discipleship and grow the church as Christian Family. We believe that evangelism (gathering) and discipleship (growth) are activities best carried out in community, and Community Groups provide that context. Groups are gatherings of 6-12 people (occasionally larger), meeting in homes throughout the city during the week. In Community Groups, people come to know God and experience his presence. They are meant to foster close relationships with one another, to nurture, equip, and release us for God's work in the world. They provide an opportunity for intimacy, mutual support, practical love and service, learning about the Christian faith, prayer, and sharing the good we see God doing in our midst. They are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who are given on-going support and resources to aid in shepherding Community toward Christ.

OUR GOSPEL VISION
Mystery's Community Groups exist to be Gospel-centered, biblically focused, authentic, honest and inviting communities. They are to be safe places to learn and grow, as we seek to genuinely LOVE Jesus and our city, LIVE transformed lives in Christ and family, and ENJOY Jesus, his Church, and his city.
Mystery desires to be a church wholly transformed by the Gospel. This is done by embracing our Gospel identity, living our Gospel rhythym, in Gospel community, empowered by the Spirit and passionate for the glory of God and the good of our city.
Community Groups are essential to living out our vision and mission. Most of our ministry happens throughout the week in our home and neighborhoods through our Community Groups.
