At Mystery, we strongly believe that giving cheerfully and sacrificially is an act of worship for Christians. We have a generous Father who loved us by Giving his only Son. And, we have a generous Savior in Christ, who became poor to make us rich and gave his life as a sacrificial gift for our sin. Grateful giving for the Christian is a gracious response to God's grace.

• Giving "images" God and generosity grows our character, making us more like Jesus.

• Giving increases our affections for and directs our attention to Christ. (Matthew 6:21)

• Giving helps us to remember who is ultimate and who really owns everything . (I Chronicles 29:11-12)

• Generosity teaches us to submit to and commit everything to God. (Deuteronomy 14:22-23)

• Radical generosity is as our greatest weapon against the love of money and its power over our lives.

WHEN YOU GIVE TO MYSTERY

When you give to Mystery your financial gifts go toward the many and ministries and missions of our church.

You are not simply giving, you are taking an active role in furthering Gods kingdom in our city and around the world.

Examples of How Your Generosity Contributes to the gospel work of Mystery in Joplin:

• Your offering contributes to the day to day operations and ministry of a church called Mystery.

• It contributes to varied local missional efforts like West Central Elem., Bright Futures and Third Thursdays.

• It helps resource and plant churches in our region and around the United States

• It goes toward Restore Brazil, where we are helping train pastors and plant churches in Brazil

• Giving goes toward the purchase of our facility for the use of our church and the good of our city

WAYS TO GIVE AT MYSTERY

• Give online via The City.

• Give at our Sunday worship gatherings through the offering baskets we pass and the giving boxes we have up front with communion. You can place your tithe in these boxes before or after service, or, as some do, as part of worshipful response to the gospel during communion time.
